HOW TO REMOVE FORGOTTEN PASSWORDS ON WINDOWS OS

We’ll walk ourselves through one method of removing windows operating system passwords. I have in my test environment Win XP, Win7 embedded and Win7, because of time I’ll try the process on windows 7embedded and win7
Please note: Everything that I’ll show you in this series is for educational purposes only,
prerequisite
1, (offline NT Password & Registry Editor) here is the official website http://pogostick.net/~pnh/ntpasswd/2. The password-protected computer system (Target Machine)3. Internet4. A separate computer system (not passworded)5. Flash Drive (1gig upward)6. A good Keyboard (if the target computer did not have one)7. WinRAR or win zip8. Rufus or Yumi
Before we start, let me say here that there are a lot of ways to REMOVE/EDIT windows passwords but my focus is offline NT Password & Registry, Editor
Steps
1. Dowload offline NT Password & Registry Editor from its website http://pogostick.net/~pnh/ntpasswd/ , the latest version is
- cd140201.zip (~18MB) – Bootable CD image. (md5sum: f274127bf8be9a7ed48b563fd951ae9e) on ( A separate computer system (not password-ed))
- After the dowload, use winrar /win zip (you can get winrar/win zip on google) to extract the iso image
2. Use Rufus/Yumi to write the iso file into your USB FLASH DRIVE (we have a series on how to do this) to make the flash drive bootable
3. After the process, eject the USB flash drive and insert it into the target system (the computer system that we want to remove its password )
4. Power the Target system and select USB as the first boot at the Bios, and press enter (if step2 is successful the target system will load Offline NT Password & Registry Editor)
5. Press enter, to allow the software to load the necessary drivers automatically.
